Our Mission
The Lowcountry Community Concert Band (LCCB) is sponsored by University of South Carolina Beaufort's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI). The mission of OLLI is to provide quality, intellectually stimulating not-for-credit educational opportunities and experiences specifically developed for adults of the lowcountry. Any adult who is interested in lifelong learning is welcome to join. There are no educational requirements. Backgrounds may differ, but all participants share a desire to keep intellectually active. Note: Band members may be any age to participate.
The purpose of the LCCB is to contribute positively to the musical environment of the Lowcountry while providing an opportunity for education, growth and individual musical expression among its membership. It is the intent of the LCCB to provide an opportunity for musicians of all ages to play together for enjoyment as well as to perform for the community. The LCCB is a place where musicians of all abilities, can come together because of a common interest—instrumental music.
Join Us
Any active member of OLLI, regardless of playing or level of experience, who is interested in the purposes of the LCCB may be considered a candidate for membership.
The Band is sponsored by the University of South Carolina Beaufort's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI). The annual membership fee to join the band is $40 per year and is payable to OLLI. The fee is rolling, meaning that your membership lasts for 365 days after joining.
